Country Quilt Show

SLINGER MIDDLE SCHOOL, 521 OLYMPIC DRIVE, SLINGER, WI
(EXIT HWY 41 AT HWY 60 WEST, TURN NORTH (at Burger King) ON LOU’S WAY TO SCHOOL)

EXHIBITOR INFORMATION -Applies To All Categories-

1. Each Exhibitor will be limited to (4) items total. Items exhibited in previous Country Quilt Shows will be ineligible. Soiled items will not be accepted. We anticipate items that are new or very slightly used. Washed and worn looking will not be accepted. Exhibitor Entry forms must be received by the October 24, 2011 deadline.

2. Quilts can be dropped off at Slinger Middle School Friday November 4, 2011 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Pick up at the Middle School after the show will be at 5:00 to 5:30 pm. No quilts will be released early. Royce Quilting and The Quilted Basket will accept quilts Wednesday November 2, Thursday November 3 during normal business hours and Friday November 4 until noon. Quilt pick up at Royce Quilting and The Quilted Basket will be Monday November 7 and Tuesday November 8 during normal business hours. Please contact these shops for their hours.

3. All Exhibitors will be given a receipt for their quilts. For security reasons, this receipt must be presented at the time of pick up.

4. Entry fee this year will be $4.00 and will cover one to four items. Please enclose your check with your entry form, as we cannot collect the money when the quilts are dropped off. On line entries will be charged a 50 cent processing fee for the Pay Pal transaction. Each exhibitor will receive one pass good for one free admission to the show. Sleeves are not required on the quilts. Items are hung with binder clips and smaller items are pinned to sheets.

5. Reasonable precautions will be taken to avoid damage or loss of exhibitor’s property, however, exhibitors will not hold Ties That Bind Quilters, Inc. or the Slinger Middle School District for any liability.

6. Your signature on the Entry Form implies acceptance of these terms. .

7. Categories are described as follows. Quilts should be entered according to the predominant technique used. The Country Quilt Show committee reserves the right to reclassify items.

Category A – LARGE – Pieced - minimum of 60”x80” or the perimeter measurement of 280” or greater

Category B – LARGE – Applique - minimum of 60”x80”or the perimeter measurement of 280” or greater

Category C – MEDIUM – Pieced – minimum of 36”x45” or the perimeter measurement of 162” up to 279”

Category D – MEDIUM – Applique - minimum of 36”x45” or the perimeter measurement of 162” up to 279”

Category E – SMALL – Pieced – includes miniatures, perimeter measurement up to 161”

Category F – SMALL – Applique - includes miniatures, perimeter measurement up to 161”

Category G – Youth (ages 17 and under)

Category H – Wearables (Examples: Skirts, jackets) and Home Decorating and
Miscellaneous (Examples: tree skirts, pillows, and placemats)
Category I – Antique Quilt (for display only)

8. Viewers Choice will be “Best of Show” and First and Second Place in the categories described. “Best of Show” will be awarded $100.00 cash prize. Prizes will be awarded at 3:15 p.m. the day of the show.
